Bamako Extreme 2027

CFMOTO Adventure Rally Project

The CFMOTO 450MT will conquer the Bamako Extreme 2027. This project is about endurance, reliability, and authentic adventure, proving the platform's capabilities in the world's most demanding rally environments.

Both riders hold confirmed, paid places in Bamako Extreme 2027, a rally capped at 150 teams. Entered and paid in April 2026. This is happening either way.

What Is Budapest-Bamako Extreme 2027?

The Bamako Extreme is the world's largest amateur rally raid, an 11,000 kilometre endurance challenge from Budapest to Abidjan. It is not about speed. It is about finishing.

The Route Challenge

The Bamako Extreme 2027 rally tests motorcycle performance and rider capability across diverse terrains.

Central Europe

Alpine passes, technical roads, varied weather.

Mediterranean Transit

Coastal routes, ferry crossings, remote transition.

North African Mountains

Atlas mountains: altitude, technical terrain, desert prep.

Sahara Desert

Vast sand, extreme heat, navigation, self-reliance.

West African Arrival

Sub-Saharan terrain: heat, humidity, changing roads.

Each stage demands different skills, bike setups, and strategies. Comprehensive preparation is critical.

Why CFMOTO 450

The CFMOTO 450 meets the demand for capable, accessible mid-weight adventure motorcycles.

Endurance Validation

Rally conditions provide the ultimate stress test for every component.

Real Terrain Testing

From mountains to deserts, the rally tests all conditions.

Authentic Storytelling

Real adventure creates genuine stories.

Product Credibility

Completion proves capability and reliability.

This is real-world validation that builds lasting brand credibility.

How the Content Gets Made

Most rally content dies at the end of the day, when the riders are too wrecked to edit anything. This programme removes that problem entirely: the riders shoot, CFMOTO's team publishes.

Capture

360 rigs and action cameras on both bikes and helmets, already owned on both sides. Daily card offload. Interviews at camp and on the move.

Transfer

Footage uploaded in batches whenever there is connectivity. Morocco, Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire have coverage. Mauritania and Guinea do not, so material from the remote legs batches through and lands when the route returns to signal.

Publish

Proposed: CFMOTO's own team edits and posts, on CFMOTO's channels, in CFMOTO's voice and to CFMOTO's schedule, subject to their capacity. The brand controls the output, not two tired riders with a phone. The rally's own channels carry a combined reach of over 115,000 followers, and every team's story runs through them.

Before the rally / Oct–Jan

MT Challenge Hungary on 10 October, the build, and the shakedown. First content lands this year.

During the rally / February 2027

Three weeks, ten countries, dispatches from the road as coverage allows.

After the rally / March onwards

Documentary cut, dealer activation material, and the handover at CFMOTO Cote d'Ivoire in Abidjan.

This is not a plan to make content. The equipment exists, the editor is CFMOTO's own team, and the first footage is shot on 10 October.

The Route Is the Network

This is not only a rally course. It runs between three CFMOTO markets, and connects them under their own power.

CFMOTO Romania

Where the bikes, the riders and the project come from. The Xplorator group's territory, covering Romania and the Balkans.

CFMOTO Senegal

Live on the route, roughly two thirds of the way. A service point and a partner in the middle of West Africa.

CFMOTO Cote d'Ivoire, Motorland

Abidjan. The finish line, and where the motorcycles are handed over at the end of 11,000 kilometres.

One campaign, three markets

This does not have to be funded from Romania alone. CFMOTO Senegal and CFMOTO Cote d'Ivoire both sit on the route, and both gain from it: a service point and content in Senegal, the finish line and two demonstration machines in Abidjan. Each market gets an event it could not stage on its own.

  • Romania: the bikes, the preparation and the riders.
  • Senegal: a mid-route stop, local content, regional visibility.
  • Cote d'Ivoire: the finish, the handover, and first refusal on the bikes.

A campaign that crosses three of its markets under its own power is the kind of thing the factory amplifies.

Partnership Value

This project offers CFMOTO and potential partners a unique value that reaches the target buyer audience and beyond traditional marketing approaches. The rally creates authentic brand validation and engagement opportunities.

Product Credibility

Third-party validation that advertising cannot replicate. The 450MT swept every Adventure class at Red Bull Romaniacs 2026. This is the distance test.

Dealer Activation

A story your dealers can sell with, demonstration machines that have done 11,000 kilometres, and a sales narrative no competitor has.

Market Positioning

Moves the brand from capable and affordable to seriously capable, and supports pricing that reflects it.

Audience Alignment

Direct access to serious adventure riders, the exact buyers for the 450MT.

Production Budge

Two CFMOTO 450MTs, 11,000 kilometres, three weeks of daily footage edited and published by CFMOTO's own team. This is what producing it costs.

Total project cost: €30,820.

Motorcycles Come Home to the Brand

CFMOTO Cote d'Ivoire (Motorland) operates in Abidjan, the finish city, and Cote d'Ivoire permits official sale of vehicles under 5 years old. Two low-mileage 450MTs with a documented 11,000 kilometre history can be handed to the local distributor legally, recovering a substantial part of their value.

Entry Is Already Secured

Both riders hold confirmed places in a rally capped at 150 teams, paid from their own pockets in April 2026. This is happening either way.

Timeline & Decision

The rally does not wait, and neither do the organisers' deadlines. Here is where the project actually stands today.

1

September 2026 — now

Both entries paid and confirmed. Budget prepared. Awaiting CFMOTO's decision.

2

10 October 2026

MT Challenge Hungary. Both riders competing. First content of the project, shot on CFMOTO machines.

3

October 2026

Bikes confirmed and released. Long-range fuel tanks ordered, the longest lead time on the build. Registration and plates verified.

4

3 November 2026

Organiser deadline. Entry forms finalised, satellite and radio equipment declared to Moroccan authorities. Nothing can be added after this date.

5

11 November 2026

Organiser deadline. Vehicles locked in the rally system. No vehicle can be changed or substituted after this date.

6

18 November 2026

Organiser fees due. Visas and insurance processed for all ten countries.

7

December 2026 – January 2027

Shakedown, fully loaded, over 1,000 km. Spares, tools, vaccinations. Pre-rally content published.

8

5 February 2027

Start, Budapest. 11,000 km, three weeks, ten countries.

9

Late February 2027

Finish, Abidjan. Handover at CFMOTO Cote d'Ivoire.

10

March 2027 onwards

Documentary cut, dealer activation, media tour.

The decision has a deadline. On 11 November the organisers lock every vehicle in the rally. A decision after that date cannot put CFMOTO on these motorcycles.
